Is God’s Non-Interference Ideology Psychopathy?

Reading a recent Guardian article, they discuss how common fears from workers under a CEO suspected of being a corporate-professional type psychopath is the fear of retribution, of them coming out to destroy them, of them wanting those more vulnerable people harmed.

A common reaction to these realities is that systematic capitalism is to blame and a culture that rewards predatory behavior.

For years I argued that we had a right to provoke God to interfere in human relations to assure our safety and well-being. I backed this up with Abrahamic texts in my master’s thesis and even learned one of the ancient schools of rabbinic thought went along these same borders.

In my recent past I experienced an understanding as to why God cannot interfere. To put it simply, it would be unjust. It would be unfair for humanity for a god to intervene and punish this person or that person, this community or that community. Humanity simply does not have the capacity to defend itself from God.

However, is this an ideology more than an ethical emotive imposition? The argument makes sense to the intellect and even more sense given it is difficult to accept and understand. This might be the power of the deceit behind God’s claim. What makes more logical sense is that God’s ideology of being too strong to interfere is the logic of a psychopath.

While arguing that it is more noble to allow evil to prevail on Earth and do nothing because to interact would be its own kind of evil, there God admits He/She/They is evil or at least has a consciousness that is clouded by evil and the desire to see harm over the attempt for Good. We often say, what kind of person does not at least make an effort. Even our laws spell this out. So, what kind of god does not at least make an effort?
